Eric W. Zaeske is an award-winning family law attorney who has represented clients throughout the Milwaukee area for more than three decades. His practice is devoted entirely to divorce and family law, with particular focus on divorce, child custody and placement, child support, and spousal maintenance.
Eric believes clients deserve the truth. He sets clear, realistic expectations from the first conversation so that clients understand what can happen as their case progresses—and never feel blindsided along the way. That candor, paired with a talent for finding creative solutions to difficult problems, has earned him a reputation as an attorney who is both trustworthy and effective.
A certified collaborative law practitioner, Eric is a strong believer in resolving family disputes outside the courtroom whenever it serves the client’s interests. He is a frequent speaker and participant in local and national collaborative law trainings and an active member of the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin. When a case does require litigation, however, clients get a prepared, seasoned advocate who has tried family law matters in courts across the region for most of his career.
Eric’s work has been recognized repeatedly by his peers and by independent rating services. He has been named a Super Lawyer three years running, rated a Top Lawyer by Avvo, and recognized among Milwaukee’s top attorneys for Divorce & Separation and for Family Law by Milwaukee Lifestyle Magazine. He remains active in several county and specialty bar organizations, including the Leander J. Foley Jr. Society of Family Lawyers.
